Now that Valentine's Day is over, let's focus on fetishes!
It's Fetish February, and we're diving into the world of fetishes. But before we get too kinky, let's take a look at the history of fetishes and how some have gone from taboo to totally mainstream.
Back in the day, a fetish was just a fancy Portuguese word for a charm or talisman. But somewhere along the way, it became associated with sexual desire. Ancient cultures had their own fetishes - from large penises in ancient Greece to the god Min's impressive erection in ancient Egypt.
Fast forward to the 20th century, and fetishes were still considered taboo. But then came along BDSM, which has become pretty mainstream, thanks in part to Fifty Shades of Grey. And let's not forget about foot fetishes - those puppies are getting more screen time than ever before.
Of course, not all fetishes are socially acceptable, but as long as they're between consenting adults and nobody gets hurt, we say go for it!
